OVERVIEW: 

This course introduces the fundamentals of 3ds Max, a 3D program used widely in the animation and gaming industry for 3D modelling, 3D animation and digital visual effects. You will learn to navigate through the user interface, the basic techniques of modeling and applying textures, set basic lightings and render the model you have created, and perform simple animation. 

TOPICS COVERED: 

1. User Interface 
Entry-level navigation for students to understand the UI of 3ds Max Students will learn how to use viewport navigation, modeling, rigging and animation tools 

2. Modelling 
Modelling 

3. Students will learn the basic modeling tools and progressively move to advance modeling tools 

4. UV Unwrap and Textures 
Students will learn basic unwrap and create textures for their models Students will understand the workflow of a typical 3D asset creation and texture process Rigging and Skinning Students will understand the tools involved in the process of rigging models The concepts covered will be applicable to 3D animation 

5. Animation 
Students will learn to animate using the rigs created for their 3D model Students will learn to refine their animation by setting up keys and using basic animation tools like graph editors and motion control 

6. Lighting and Rendering 
Students will learn to create the finishing look of their 3D animation by using basic lighting tools Students will understand the different rendering methods to create the final look

 Hi all! Davis Vu Storyboard Class: Principles and Drawing is now open for registration.

Please note that 

Storyboard: The Importance of Storytelling and Storyboarding: Principles and Drawing are independent course. 

Storyboard: The Importance of Storytelling is not a prerequisite for taking the Storyboarding: Principles and Drawing. 

Previous Course Fee is $340. 
Now it is only $200. 

Commencement Date: 28th Apr 2015 
Every Tuesday and Friday 7.30pm to 10.30pm // 6 hours Lectures for 5 Weeks 
Total of 30 hours
